All-Ireland Ball Girls
Well done to our girls Aisling Walls, Ally Cahill, Eimear Cahill and Ava Sheils who officiated as ball girls for the All-Ireland Ladies semi-finals which were hosted in Kingspan Breffni last Saturday. They were trooping the Killygarry colours on the All-Ireland stage on TG4.

All-Ireland Ticket Draw
It’s that time of year again with the usual rat-race for All-Ireland tickets. The Club is holding its usual annual draw for two All-Ireland Football Cusack Stand tickets and €500 spending money. Tickets are €5 each or 3 for €10 and can be purchased from any committee member. Please support. You can also buy tickets online using the following link – https://www.klubfunder.com/Clubs/Killygarry_GAA/Events/ . Closing date is 11th Sept.

Ladies are Junior B Champions
Congratulations to our ladies Junior team who won the Junior B Championship when they beat hot favourites Shannon Gaels in the final. They beat Cavan Gaels in the semi-final earlier to qualify for the final. Gemma Cullen was the captain of a very young side blended with some seasoned players and the experience at this level should be invaluable to them and the club as they mature into the adult ranks. Well done also to Aisling Walls who was awarded Player of the Match for her performance.

Ladies Scene
Underage competitions are ramping up again in the Ladies section of the Club. The U12s have played and won all four of their games in recent weeks. The U14s have the long-awaited replay of their Championship final against Castlerahan/Denn this Wednesday (06/09). The U15s start their championship campaign at home to Crosserlough this Saturday (09/09). The U19s have a bye in the first round of their championship – their first game is away to Cavan Gaels on Wednesday 13/09

Minor Men
Our Minor Men are competing in the Minor B Championship along with Annalee Gaels, Blackwater Gaels, West Cavan Gaels, Kingscourt, Belturbet, Lough Uachtar Gaels, Mullahoran, Castlerahan, Maghera and Denn. All teams will play four games on a league basis similar to this year’s Senior Championship but only the top four will qualify for the semi-finals. We lost our first game is away to Maghera last Friday and play Kingscourt away this week.

Under 12 Boys are County Champions
Massive congratulations to our U12 Boys who are county champions after beating Castletara in the final recently.

Senior Men
In the Championship, wins over Gowna and Cuchulainns were followed by an unlucky defeat to Lacken. But the team bounced back in style last weekend with a convincing win over Kingscourt in Bailieboro to qualify comfortably for the quarter-finals. Our opponents won’t be confirmed until a number of play-offs take place.

Senior Reserve Men
The Reserves face Cootehill in the Reserve Championship final which hasn’t been fixed yet. Best of luck lads.

Under 16 Boys
The U16s are in Division 2 for the championship with Blackwater Gaels, Ballyhaise and Cuchulainns. There were home and away fixtures with the top two qualifying for the final. They won their first game against Cuchulainns but lost both games to Ballyhaise. They bounced back by taking all four points from Blackwater Gaels and beat Cuchulainns along the way to qualify for the final where they will meet Ballyhaise again this Thursday (07/09). Best of luck lads. Please support them.

U14 Boys
Our U14 Boys are in Division 2 (Group 1) for this year’s Championship. Other teams in our group are Cavan Gaels, Cootehill and Crosserlough. They won their first game against Crosserlough last Saturday. We also have a team in Division 5 along with Ballinagh, Kildallon, Crosserlough, Castletara St Patrick’s, Shercock and Cuchulainns. They won their first game against Castletara last week but lost their second game away to Kildallan last Sunday by just a point in a high-scoring game.

Tom Coyle Memorial Tournament
The annual Tom Coyle Memorial Tournament for Under 8s takes place this year on Saturday 30thSeptember. More details closer to the date.

Last Man Standing fundraiser
